Activities
No other rental offers so many on-location activities. You can enjoy swimmin', fishin', canoein', kayakin' and paddle boatin'- all included in the basic rental fees. Take a hike in the thousands of acres of federal forest that borders the Cold Creek Ranch. Hunting is available for deer, turkey and squirrel. Just walk out the door, load your gun/bow/camera and start hunting! Several goose hunting clubs are within easy hearing range. (See Links Section for sites with hunting regulations.)
We have riding horses and offer a 1/2 day guided wilderness ride with a master guide and horseman at an additional cost. You will explore homesteads, cemeteries, old bridge crossings and open wells that have existed over 100 years. Experience in equestrian activities is not necessary. This is a ride much different than the typical 'rent-a-horse' facility offers! Extreme heat, inclement weather or deer hunting seasons will affect availability of this ride.
